Is it possible to get hepatitis C from a baby whose mother is hepa C antibody positive?

Question by dabz: Is it possible to get hepatitis C from a baby whose mother is hepa C antibody positive?
I am a nurse and accidentally had needle prick injury from my baby patient whose mother is a hepa C antibody positive. I consulted doctors and they assured me that I have nothing to worry because it was the mother who has been exposed to virus and not the baby.
